My mock driving test is as close to the real thing as you'll get. We cover the actual Wilton RSA test routes, I assess you using the same criteria as the official test, and I give you honest, structured feedback afterwards. No flattery — just a clear picture of where you stand and what to work on.
Turning up to your driving test underprepared is a waste of your money and your test slot. I won't put a student in that position.
Automatic driving lessons with DriveIQ in Cork start at €60 for a one-hour lesson and €120 for a two-hour block. The full 12-lesson EDT course is €660, or €330 for a 6-lesson top-up. A mock driving test is €149, a pre-test lesson is €129, and driving test car hire with a warm-up lesson is €195. Students and frontline workers get 10% off with valid ID, bringing the full EDT course down to €594.
Yes. If you pass your test in an automatic, your licence will be restricted to automatic vehicles. Many people find this a straightforward trade-off — automatics are increasingly common and remove a significant layer of complexity from the test itself.
EDT stands for Essential Driver Training. It's the RSA-mandated minimum training programme for learner drivers who got their provisional licence after April 2011. The full programme is 12 lessons, each with a specific syllabus topic. You cannot sit your driving test without completing EDT.
A Mock Test is a full simulation of the official driving test — same routes, same assessment criteria, written feedback at the end. A Pre-Test Lesson is a focused tune-up session in the days before your test, working on specific areas rather than a full assessment. I'd recommend doing both if your test is coming up soon.
Yes, subject to eligibility. You must have either completed a Mock Driving Test with DriveIQ or completed a minimum of 6 hours of lessons with me. This policy exists to make sure you're genuinely prepared — not to create a barrier.
I require a minimum of 24 hours notice for all cancellations or changes to a lesson. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice will incur the full lesson fee. Life happens — but this policy is in place to protect time on both sides.

Absolutely. Automatic transmission removes a lot of the mechanical anxiety that comes with learning to drive. If you've had a bad experience with lessons before, or you haven't driven in years, I'd encourage you to get in touch — we'll take it at whatever pace works for you.
Just bring a valid Student ID or HSE / Hospital Staff ID at the time of your first lesson. The 10% discount applies to all lesson packages.
